In 2003 company MATTECH launched flow meter with centric orifice plate designed for stated (trade) measurement of fluid flow (gases, fluids and steam) to the market which was produced in compliance with ISO 5167 and ISO TR 15377 standards. Construction of meter tube enables direct assembly of pressure differential reader for orifice plate tapings.
These meter tubes are designed for measurement of low fluid flows in lower inner diameter tubes lower than DN 40. Working position of the flow meter can be either horizontal or vertical. Verified integrated orifice plates are supplied ex-works with document of its verification.
These meters have its own pattern approvals TCM 142/03-3851. Further demands are made on assembling organisations and users of meter tubes, since these are obliged to ensure especially essential direct lengths in front of and behind the orifice plate in compliance with requirements of ISO 5167 and ISO 15377 standards. For precise measurement it is essential to ensure stabilised fluid flow entering primary element and to meet other conditions of geometrical and mechanical accuracy given by ISO 5167 standard. Therefore it might be practical to produce tube including orifice plate as a set meeting all requirements for quality and accuracy of meter.
